Your $150 fund-a-scholarship donation will help a middle school or high school student attend Youth Resources' TEENPOWER summer leadership development conference. YR hosts our annual Scooter Scramble and auction each September to honor our friend and to raise money to support area youth through the Robert “Scooter” Tiemann TEENPOWER Scholarship Fund. The Scooter Scholarship Fund was founded because Scooter used to pay the registration fee for students with financial need to participate in Youth Resources’ High School and Middle School TEENPOWER leadership development conferences. Scooter never wanted anyone, especially the kids, to know that he was behind their generous scholarships. We’ve spilled his secret, but we know that he would be thrilled that more students can now attend TEENPOWER to meet positive adult and peer role models, learn about making healthy choices, develop their leadership skills, and make life-long friends. Since 2013, the Scooter Scholarship Fund has provided 348 students with the opportunity to attend TEENPOWER. In 2024, 176 golfers, over 50 sponsors, 25 volunteers, and countless supporters (like you!) will raise more than $20,000 for the Scooter Scholarship Fund and Youth Resources. All proceeds from the Scooter Scramble benefit Youth Resources and the Robert “Scooter” Tiemann TEENPOWER Scholarship Fund.
